Mandrake Paddle Steamer "Overspill"
Mandrake never achiehed the success they deserved. Their astute and droll observations of London life crossed with an acid tinge of surrealism somehow got left behind in the rush to be the next Led Zeppelin.
Side one of this disc contains five acetates that the original line up of the band cut for two publishhing houses in late '68/early '69. Side 2 contains their 1969  "Top Gear" radio broadcast restored to it's correct speed, and clarity. 
This music should not be confused with the later line up of the band that put together an LP in 1971, which although unissued has been heard via various tapes circulating across the Atlantic.
